That belief is what inspired us to create something truly unique: an experience where a nonprofit alpaca rescue and tiny cabins tucked into the woods exist side by side, offering visitors a chance to slow down, reconnect, and be part of something meaningful.

A Thoughtfully Created Experience in the Woods

Nestled on the same property, Triple Nickel Pines Airbnbs offer peaceful, nature-immersed tiny cabins that allow guests to experience the land, the quiet, and the presence of rescued alpacas nearby. Watching alpacas graze at sunrise, hearing their soft hums in the evening, and simply being near them creates a grounding, restorative atmosphere unlike anything else.

While the cabins and the rescue share the same property, TNP Alpaca Rescue and Triple Nickel Pines are completely separate entities.

• TNP Alpaca Rescue is a registered nonprofit organization

• Triple Nickel Pines is a for-profit lodging business

• Cabin rentals are not donations to the rescue. Although Triple Nickel Pines Airbnbs contribute where possible and are the only source of income currently donating to the non profit; operating costs, taxes, and increasing booking fees mean available funding is limited. This clear separation ensures TNP Alpaca Rescue operates ethically and transparently as a nonprofit, while guests still have the opportunity to connect with the animals and the mission behind the rescue.

Why Rescue Alpacas Need Ongoing Support

Many alpacas come to us after experiencing neglect, improper care, or medical challenges. Unlike traditional farm animals, alpacas require specialized, long-term care, often for the rest of their lives.

Rescue needs commonly include:

• Emergency and ongoing veterinary care

• Dental and jaw treatments

• Specialized nutrition and supplements

• Routine shearing and hoof care

• Safe fencing, shelter, and enrichment

• Monitoring of chronic or age-related conditions

These needs do not end once an alpaca is rescued—they continue for years.

We currently have an active GoFundMe campaign dedicated to covering rescue and veterinary expenses that were not covered by the airbnbs.

Triple Nickel Pines has donated toward the rescue and veterinary expenses; however, this funding model is no longer sustainable. Airbnb bookings have slowed, platform fees have increased, and operating costs continue to rise. Additionally, while 100% of proceeds from our farm stand go directly to TNP Alpaca Rescue, sales have also slowed. In the past two months alone, more than $2,500 has been spent on alpaca rescue care, making it clear that this approach is not working without additional community support.
