Welcome to TNP Alpaca Rescue
A nonprofit animal sanctuary in Southern Oregon dedicated to giving rescued alpacas a safe and loving home. Our mission is to connect the community with these gentle animals through farm tours, volunteer opportunities, educational programs, and special events. Located just outside Grants Pass in Josephine County, visitors must book a private time to experience the joy of meeting alpacas, learning about their care, and supporting ethical farm animal rescue. Whether you choose to sponsor an alpaca, donate to our nonprofit, or join a community event, your involvement helps provide food, shelter, and medical care for alpacas in need. Together, we can make a lasting difference for animals and create meaningful connections in our community.
JOIN OUR CAUSE
At TNP Alpaca Rescue, we partner with youth programs, community agencies, and nonprofits to provide at-risk youth with hands-on, trauma-informed opportunities that build resilience, confidence, and employable skills. Our model combines the healing presence of animals with structured mentorship in farm care, sustainability, and entry-level construction trades.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE
Through community outreach, we aim to educate, inspire, and create meaningful connections between people and alpacas—building compassion, support, and lasting impact for animal rescue.
-
The Challenge
-
Across Oregon, alpacas are often surrendered, neglected, or left without proper care when owners can no longer provide for them. Many arrive underweight, needing medical treatment, or lacking safe shelter. Without rescues like ours, these gentle animals face uncertain futures.
-
Our Solution
-
At TNP Alpaca Rescue, we provide a permanent, loving sanctuary where alpacas can heal, thrive, and live with dignity. Through community outreach, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities, we connect people with alpacas, teaching compassion, responsibility, and the value of protecting farm animals.
We also offer travelers and couples a truly unique way to connect with the animals through Triple Nickel Pines vacation homes, where couples and solo adventurers can unwind in nature while supporting the rescue. Guests can reconnect directly with the alpacas in a safe and loving environment, experiencing quiet moments of feeding, walking, or simply being near these gentle animals. This intimate setting provides not only a relaxing retreat, but also a chance to contribute to the ongoing care, medical needs, and sanctuary of our rescued herd—making every stay both restorative for you and impactful for them.

WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO ACHIEVE
Through our at-risk youth programs, we strive to provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and healing connections with alpacas—offering safe opportunities to build confidence, responsibility, and hope for the future.
-
The Challenge
-
Many at-risk youth in our region face barriers such as trauma, unstable home environments, or lack of access to safe and constructive programs. Without intervention, these challenges often impact education, employment, and long-term stability.
